Worship

Our Congregation extends a warm welcome to all who gather to worship in the name of Jesus Christ. May each and every one of you experience God’s presence and love in our worship services.

Sunday worship at First Presbyterian Church begins at 10:30am with the entry of the “Written Word” and closes with the singing of a congregational Blessing. Scripture Readings are by lay members of the congregation and the sermons by our minister, the Rev. Amanda Currie, are insightful, thought-provoking and well worth hearing. The service bulletin contains all the information about the worship service and our weekly church community events.

We have a beautiful sanctuary in which to worship and are fortunate to have both a pipe organ and grand piano. We are blessed with wonderful choral and instrumental music that greatly enhances our worship services. Our children’s choir performs on a frequent basis.

Communion at First Presbyterian is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month from September through June. Special services are held at Christmas, during Holy Week and Easter.

First Presbyterian is Wheelchair Accessible and provides Hearing Enhancement Headsets.

Everyone is invited for coffee, tea, juice and conversation in the Christian education wing following worship each Sunday.
